Sean, Good to hear from you, there's enough Coalie's in Oz to form a mount for Buck. Where in the Boro did you live, and where's home in Oz., and was there any local lads serving with you,? We have topped the recruiting figures for a number of years, the Regiment has a mass of Boro Lads serving, which is great for the Town. My missus and I have been trying to get over for a a year or two, must really make the effort before I'm RTU'D. Very best regards Sean, keep in touch. Mac |

Congratulations Mac for getting everything ship shape again. I like your photo albums. With all this cold weather that we are having I bet that you wish that you were back in Spain. My daughter came back from there today though and she says that they had quite a bit of rain. Hope that the ribs are recovering, I know that it takes time. Best Wishes, Ken |

Ken, Nice to hear from you, I've been burning the oil again, still have some work to do on the Board, heading etc, but we know now its ours and will stay without adverts, the same with the Pic Board, it does take the weight of the Web Site. We are working on the Squad Pics now and have quite a collection to post. Spoke to Mannie today, we are organizing to go to Blk-Wkend as a Branch, Mannie & John are laying the wreath, very fitting as its our 75th anniversary. We spent our time in Spain at Bencassim about 100k south of Barcelona, real eco climate, its been 28 degs today, snowed all day in Redcar, came home too early. Best regards, Mac |

Gentlemen, If you wish to post pics, could you keep the total posting below 1meg, otherwise it overloads the posting quota and will be automatically deleted by the server. If the pics are for inclusion to the Site Post them to coldstream.guards@ntlworld.com any size we will sort them out. Mac |

Hello everybody.I`m trying to find any photographs of my grandfather who served in the Coldstream Guards 1914-1918 and fought in France.,i know it`s a long shot but just maybe somebody can help. His name is James Blyth, originally from Norwich but married his wife in Middlesbrough and enlisted there too. Also would like to find out where he fought in France,he wouldn`t speak much about it to my Father. Many thanks in advance for any links and help.Paul. |
