Reply with quote | #1 | Ladies/Gentlemen It is my very sad duty to report the passing away of Branch Member No 2663563 Mr Leslie Wilson who died this morning in James Cook University Hospital. We only learned yesterday afternoon that he was ill in hospital and I was going to visit him today in fact I was ready to leave when I received a phone call with the sad news. Les was a lovely man and a true Coldstreamer. On behalf of our President, Vice Presidents, Committee and members I offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.RIP

Reply with quote | #4 | Gentlemen, Spoke to Neill and Alan Wilson yesterday, the two sons of Les. He had two bad falls in recent weeks, which resulted in severe complications. Les told the Boys it was his time and he was very tired and just slipped away in his 89th year, a good innings. The arrangements will be announced by public notice in the Gazette. On behalf the President and all the boys, I tendered our condo lenses and our help if required. He only had two careers, a Guardsmen and a Policeman and loved both. Rest in Peace our friend. Mac
